A third party will work and does work in many place including some states here in the good old US of A. This fundamental shift in how Congress will do business in the future only takes a small minority of strong fiscal conservatives that filter all the BS in Washington through a Constitutional screen. If neither party can pass legislation without this minority then a lot of this very bad stuff we have been seeing would never get passed. We would never had TARP or GM Takeovers. We need to remember that majority wins and if you have enough sane people to say no to craziness then you don’t get crazy. This Conservatives would be emboldened to stop the madness in the name of the people. They would not have to follow the RINO or Democrat party line, but would be held responsible for their actions by the people that elected them not the party machines. Sure they wouldn’t be committee heads, but they would be able to stop Crap and Trade, Obamacare, and additional stimulus. Gridlock can be a good thing when it protects us from bad government.
