More Conservatives, But No Republicans

A third party will not work, plain and simple. The American political system with its single-member-district-plurality setup will simply not allow multiple parties. Conservatives then have two choices. They can either retake the Republican Party by defeating the elitist liberal and moderate Republicans – like Reagan did. Or, they can form a Conservative Party and then destroy the Republican Party by replacing it as the logical alternative to the Democratic Party. Historically, the only way a new party has survived is by replacing an existing party. There is simply no other way.
