For all the back & forth on this issue, there’s no denying what happened in the past “historically” by ignoring & dismissing tyrants, dictators, despots & fanatic’s.
Many cliché’s are made fun of thereby diminishing their value but make fun of this one all you want – “Those who “ignore” history are destined to repeat it.” Sums up the lesson anyone with a brain should come too by reading your post.
If walks like a duck & quacks like a duck – it’s a duck. Cliché’s do have their uses for summing things up quickly.
