Here’s a more concrete example of the kind of thinking I was prompting you to do, though it seems far too complex and nuanced compared to the level of discourse that you’re obviously used to. Keep in mind, that I’m just changing the words here, this is not my opinion, but simply your feelings re-routed toward your home team, rather than the group you apparently seem to hate:
“Militant” Jews are reprehensible triumphalists, caught in the web of their own violent rhetoric and historic behavior patterns that subsumes many types of violence.
“Everyday” Judaism, by sitting on the fence, is its own worst enemy. It has at its disposal contradictory statements and pulls out what is needed at the moment, depending upon the audience – sort of like Obama.
Today’s Judaism is exclusionary to a degree that can only be called tribal. Israel– as it expands – will justify their need for others to conform to their dogma and the world will suffer. You are either in or out. Thus, everyone who is not “in” is angry or afraid or asleep. However, some who are “in” are also afraid or angry or asleep.
No time for further explanation about opposition to “militant” Jewish influences in our very small world. The one who understands, will understand on his own.
The last bit is especially pertinent. Because you’ve provided no evidence, you’re basically saying that the people who “get it”, get it without having to think about it or base their opinion on facts.
