After the last eight years, it is highly amusing how left-wing commenters suddenly cling to patriotism and respect for the office of President and calling their opponents unpatrotic at every occasion.
This tactic is less plausible when you have a President who by his own words considers our constitution flawed and our country fundamentally defective. A President who snubs even his loyal (and elected) opposition, who attacks private individuals and organisations all the time, including news organisations, who gives billions to organisations which corrupt the voting process, who courts foreign enemies but thinks nothing of insulting allies. Heck, even our relationship with FRANCE has deteriorated though you won´t read that in the sycophantic court media.
The list goes on and on. These are his choices.
To make his vision of radical change permanent, Barack Obama is burning up our money, our economic future, our political culture, our diplomatic and military strength.
For this President, dividing the country is not a bug, it´s a feature. A tactic to increase power.
And you know what? Bush did none of these things. NO White House has ever behaved like that in living memory. It is not only unbecoming. It reeks of fascism. That´s right, I said it.
No, Obama is not Hitler; that´s simplistic and self-evidently untrue and I didn´t say that. But on any scale Obama is closer to fascist methods and goals than any of his predecessors. Funny that the man who compared himself to Lincoln, FDR and Washington is now compared to Nixon. Well, Nixon was after all a progressive. But it took Nixon much longer to screw up half as bad.
