Second to OmegaPaladin’s remarks, with one caveat: “innocent Muslims” who are “people of peace and righteousness” by definition cannot believe the Koran is the comandments of the creator-deity, delivered to mankind via the angel Gabriel and Mohammed. How many Muslims deny the inerrancy of the Koran?
It seems to me that Islam simply does not have a rational, peaceful, outspoken and significant minority, though one may be struggling to be born in Iraq as a consequence of the G. W. Bush foreign policy.
