There have been “active” first ladies since at least FDR’s wife, Eleanor (sp?), who have gotten in the stagelight. That is to say, this is nothing new…other than that this time it is prior to the candidate being elected. Of course it is correct to scrutinize this woman; she campaigns for the candidate.
