Ex-president Carter is one of the most skillful and accomplished negotiators alive. That’s what a Nobel prize is supposed to mean. How successful was he in talking to the Iranians during the first Iranian crisis of the mad mullahs’ reign? Remember the hostages? Took Reagan’s election and a threat of effective military action – not talk – to get our people released. Achmeddejihad was one of the hostage takers, say some. What chance does BO have in talking to the very same people who spurned the best negotiator America has? Zero or less than that?
