I can’t understand why conservatives have tried to make elite and educated bad words. Our country prospers by having educated people. You want to keep some middle east/asian foreigners out? Stop the need for importin H1-B visa workers. Education should be our goal. Elite is defined one way as: the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons. Why is elite a bad thing when it they are to be considered the best of us? Self made elites are the best America has to offer. Why settle with the undereducated slobs as the pinnacle of what it is to be American? btw- don’t buy into that republican crap that they want to help the poor youths who fight our wars. The republicans want to limit the money GIs get for education to make sure they don’t get over qualified and fail to re-up their service agreements (ie.McCain which is especially distateful considering his service).
