Thanks for the quesrion. On its face your question sounds reasonabl, but I think it pre-supposes some equivalence or parity between the global roles, prestige, and power of a US President and the other leaders you name. There is no parity. Also, I’d be stunned to learn that those orher leaders decided to fly to Copenhagen under such short and slapdash fashion as Obama just did. If they had, then they too would be guilty of some measure of irresponsibility, perhaps even abuse of office, but never in a similar degree to the POTUS under current circumstance. Does the significance of the actions of a Zapatero or a “Lula” even remotely bear any semblance to those of any American President’s deeds and comportment? Will they have much influence in the great questions of our times, such as whether or not the Islamic monsters in Iran obtain their bombs? Of course not.
