A P.S. Besides the utter futility of this “school safety czar” post, one must wonder why the Administration did not choose someone who has experience in what really plagues public schools in terms of safety in the inner cities, that is classroom violence and mayhem, gang violence, an out-and-out culture of violence, not of academic achievement, especially in the inner cities, like in Washington, DC, or Chicago?
In my backyard, Washington, DC, it’s not bullying girls and weaker boys that is the real problem. It’s the black/brown boys killing each other with guns and knives. And so it is in Chicago.
