This is amateur hour. Obama could have achieved exactly the same thing if he had only dispatched the First Lady to pull for Chicago on his behalf. If Chicago won, he looks like a genius. If Chicago failed, his prestige is unaffected because he wasn’t there in person. Any high school election committee would have avoided this slow-pitch political problem.
