Jim from Pittsburgh:
It is important to note that voting for a black candidate simply because one is offered the choice to is extremely illogical. The fact is that the author is writing with some seriously thick racist glasses himself. Racism wrapped in intelligent syntax and good intention is still racism. The fact that many commentators choose to use this angle to call the rust belt states “white trash” that can’t think beyond race is in fact a huge reason that many of us are insulted. It goes hand in hand with Obama’s comments to the Getty Jr. crowd in frisco. The fact is that I live in PA close to WV and I and my friends have a very different vision of the future of America than Sen. Obama. The constitution is NOT alive. To shout “racism” is merely a venue to sidestep this argument.

1. If I accept your premise, it may be illogical, but considering the history of blacks in America, is it unexpected? (I am assuming people actually know the history).
2. What is illogical is believing that the Constitution is not a living document (I agree) and then voting for HILLARY! (Her husband gave us Ginsberg for goodness’ sake!)
This is why the author is smelling a fish.
