There’s a very simple way to blow this author’s argument out of water. What if instead of Obama it was Judge Clarence Thomas or Thomas Sowell or any other black conservative? Do you really believe the results would be the same?

The black result would be different. They would NOT support a black conservative (as polls have demonstrated over the years).
I don’t know what whites in those states would have done. They already choose Hillary over McCain based on party. I am not convinced that a black Republican would make them *more* likely to switch parties. Not in West Virginia.
