Jabba the Tutt:
What is Mr Navarrette’s job? Last week, he tried to make the case that illegal aliens carrying the Mexican flag during marches making demands of the American People was the same as Italians-Americans celebrating Columbus Day by carrying the Italian flag or Jews celebrating Israel’s Independence Day carrying Israels flag.
Today, Mr Navarrette tries to make the absurd case that when Blacks vote for Obama (and against the white candidate), because of his race, that’s not racism. When Whites vote for Hillary, (and against Obama) that is racism.
What’s next for Mr Navarrette? The moon is made of Swiss cheese? Gravity doesn’t exist, and if we believe hard enough, we can levitate? Big government helps the little guy? I can’t wait to read what absurdity Mr Navarrette will make the case for next. He’s amazing.

It’s very clear. I have never read anything else by the author, but he is right.
Blacks have voted FOR white candidates before, and surely would NOT have voted for a black Republican over a white Democrat. (By contrast at least 20% of Hillary’s supporters say they would *switch parties* rather than vote for Obama). Blacks did not even support Obama in droves until they were sure that whites would vote for him (you may have forgotten; he did not get 90% in Iowa or for a while after that).
It is Hillary and Bill who sent their staunch black supporters fleeing with Bill’s ill-advised comments in South Carolina.
Lastly, if you cannot envision why after 400+ years of blacks being on the bottom rungs of societal treatment (and I think we all know how bad they had it until recently), they might conceivably get excited over the possibility that President (President!) number 44 might be African-American, you must be terribly naive.
I certainly never saw that coming for another few decades.
This is a no-brainer! Why should they not be excited? Should they yawn? Like I said in the other thread, they weren’t even in the upper rungs of government until President Bush came into office! I would do the same thing if I were them.
