The point is not that he used the term “sweetie”. The point is how the press doesn’t really give a damn what he does or says. He has made a lot of ignorant remarks, if said by a President could have significant international impact. But he doesn’t have to defend his actions or the words he uses- the press does it for him. And when the opposition speaks about his lacking, the press again defends him and skewers the opposition’s point of view. What a team!
