It’s the entire attitude surrounding people that share Mr. Navarette’s myopic worldview that people instinctively find offensive. Identity group politics is nauseating. The people who practice it are nauseating. The double standards are nauseating. Honest people are quite right to reject Obama. They are not victims who need rescue by government. They are offended by that suggestion.
It’s Mr Navarette who is race obsessed. Under the thin veneer of political correctness, there is a common undercurrent of Marxist hostility in his articles. It’s the new 21st century version of bigotry.

Why else do you think they are voting for Hillary? Because they DON’T believe in “rescue by the government”?
The idea looks ridiculous as long as they are going to continue to vote Democratic.
Sadly the article is correct (I don’t know much else about the author though). All of the “Jim Crowers” did not just suddenly “see the light” as soon as the ink dried on the Civil Rights Acts. These things exist and we just have to deal with it.
