The article makes a valid point, but it’s kind of a pointless point. Are there white racists
out there? Of course there are. We knew that.
Does that mean everyone who votes against Obama is a racist? Of course it doesn’t. Does it somehow make Obama’s evident flaws as a candidate OK? Of course it doesn’t.
You can ascribe his weakness with blue-collar whites to racism if you choose, but that doesn’t do Obama any favors. It just highlights how much tougher a time he’s going to have in the general election than in the politically correct Democratic primaries.
