“Racial progress in America is held hostage by the Democratic Party which needs racial tension to survive. Without overwhelming votes from certain racial groups, the Democrats would be a minor party if not a footnote. Any progress toward a color blind society threatens Democrats. Senator Obama needs that tension as does Senator Clinton. Their faithful underlings, like Mr Navarette, can be counted on to provoke, irritate and generally stir up animosity. Then blame the irritation and animosity of their opponents.”

That is why I describe the new liberalism as reactionary.
