Wow….Interesting set of comments so far.

I find it very disturbing that the Obama Admin knew about this “new” nuclear facility for months, and said nothing about it. The Admin could have still maintained it’s present policy of diplomacy anyway. Instead, we see how clumsily the issue was handled, in Pittsburgh and not the UN? Iran leaks the story out and the Obama Admin acts nonchalantly about it.

My guess is, in Obama’s mind, Iran’s actions are a result of Bush’s War. In other words, Iran could have been a more reasonable nation to deal with – with Saddam still in power, and our current policy must be to talk down Iran. The “Blame America First” group is always in a perpetual state of reaction and never proactive, never. They do not have the mind for it.

The truth is that Iran and NoK are acting in unison. NoK lofts missile tests over Japan, undoubtedly continuing it’s education in nuclear technology, and the USA does nothing – minus sending ex-presidents to rescue “environmental journalists”. Iran builds nuke plants, conducts missile tests, exports terrorism, courts influence with Chavez in the Western Hemisphere, and the USA again, does nothing…..And don’t forget about the Afghani Backdrop, and NATO’s European Membership’s obvious unwillingness to dedicate itself to the battle.

Russia is playing the the middle, selling influence to one side, nuclear technology and missile technology to the other, and slowly seeking to expand influence in Georgia, Ukraine, and giving a little chuckle to the Poles and Czechs. Collecting from the USA while providing NOTHING in return. China will sit this one out as well, and wait to see which side it will sell dog leather jackets too.
