Anyone who has spent any time on Isreali kibbutzim (the purest implementation of leftist ideas, at workable scales, ever) has seen this in action, as growth and change are the bane of leftist ideas.
The kibbutzim example, in a rational world, would forever disprove the foundational assumptions of Leftism. Not only were the kibbutzim the most workable-scale attempts to put Leftist ideas into practice, they were filled to the brim with individuals who were absolutely STEEPED in socialist history and theory. These people were the socialist equivalent of Albert Einstein in physics and they still couldn’t make it work over the long haul.
If God Himself were to come down to Earth and tell the David Ss of the world that their ideas were ridiculous, David S would claim God “didn’t provide a rational critique of my positions”.
