According to the well received study “Citizen Klansmen: The Ku Klux Klan in Indiana, 1921-1928″ by Leonard J Moore, Indiana had the largest and most politically significant state organization in the massive national Ku Klux Klan movement of the 1920s. More than 25 percent of native-born men in the state became official members.
To think that there is no legacy even now from this is incredibly naive or willfully ignorant.
