What’s your point exactly, apart from patting yourself on the back for being 100% right 100% of the time?

I’ll be 60 years old next year and I lost every friend I had but one after 9/11, all because I supported the war. People I’d known for 30 years and more, people whose kids had grown up with mine, stopped trusting me as a human being over a difference of political opinion. Leaving the left is a heresy, and those who do are shunned. I have no regrets and I say good riddance to them all, and you can be damned sure I’m not looking for a pat on the back from you. But I do suggest you help yourself to a chill pill. Questioning and re-evaluating the beliefs of a lifetime isn’t as easy or superficial a process as you seem to think, whatever a person’s age. And bitchy condescension doesn’t require any backbone at all. (Poor Citizen, take note)
