Also, a response to the title of the essay: I really was actually surprised by the news medias lack of coverage of the exit poll data on racism in West Virginia.. it sure took them a while before anybody pointed it out, and it doesn’t seem to have been covered that much.. at least in what I’ve seen and read. From reading this article, it seems the WaPo article was definitely in the wrong. Its interesting that no one has pointed out that the ‘Jesse Jackson won South Carolina’ and other comments may have had a lasting effect.
