If Hill has any remaining political ambitions, she should get out ASAP. Why not run for NY governor or, if present trends continue, challenge the One in 2012? She’s miscast as Secretary of State and, besides, she is the least consequential SofS since William Rogers when Henry Kissinger was Nixon’s NSA. She gets all the photo ops in Africa while the main players determine policy.
