In all fairness, I can’t name a Secretary of State I ever respected in that role save Kissinger. Henry was a jerk, but he was our jerk and he pushed our policies to the limit.
The best of the rest were worthless. The worst were laughingstocks. Powell was a backstabber. Albright was a clown. Condi was rolled by her own State Department.
Clinton is ineffective, but look at the man she works for. Is it possible to be tough when you represent a waffling wuss? I have nothing but contempt for the woman, but in all fairness, success was never possible.
