I’d go and tell others to go as well. Every country gets the regime they deserve and a few travelers won’t change things one way or the other.
If the Burmese people don’t like the regime, everyone should go on a hunger strike and stop working. They will have to overcome their fear of death and keep the strike going until the government collapses. It will be ugly, as the government murders many of its people to try to intimidate the rest and get them back to work. This is the only way — the people will have to find their strength.
Brutal regimes that don’t care about their people would have done all kinds of bad things anyway. Good things can come from travel to countries like Burma.
