Obama is also benefiting from what I cynically describe as the Sidney Poitier factor. Many conservatives like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity naively fail to realize the extent of his dangerousness. They simply do not sufficiently fear Obama. His charm has even seduced these supposedly hard right radio talk show hosts.
I’d say that Limbaugh is much more affected by his visceral, personal hatred of McCain. The same seems to also apply to Mark Levin and some of the others.
