Why Isn’t Obama Bothered by Terrorist Support?

“Yea, take comfort in McCain spiritual advisor Rod Parsley who McCain says that he is “greatful” and “very honored” for Parsley’s “leadership and guidance.”

Nothing I wrote raised the issue of Sen. McCain. At all. Sen. Obama has his own issues and if Rev. Meeks or Otis Moss held the same relationship to Sen. Obama as Parsley (or Hagee) hold to Sen. McCain…then it would be a wash.

However, William…I think the attempt at moral equivalence between the embrace of Jeremiah Wright/Sen. Obama…and the very thin relationship between Parsley/Sen. McCain…doom your argument.

They simply are not nearly equivalent in time, scope, proximity, depth, breadth, or passion.

Moreover, the whole point is that Sen. Obama has NUMEROUS relationships that are deeper and broader with extremists, than…well, really any other national politician in memory.

One might overlook or ignore a single, remote, sporadic, distant relationship with a person who was “a bit out there”.

That’s not the case with Sen. Obama. His chief blogger, Sam Graham-Felsen is a Chomskyite. Frank Marshall Davis was an ardent and strident Communist…America basher.

Jeremiah Wright is a firebrand America/Israel basher.

Ayers and Dorhn want to overthrow the government and get rid of capitalism.

Tossing up Parsley against that lineup…is like tossing a sprig of parsley in ton of raw pork.

“I guess you like perpetual warfare. McCain is going to have his work cut out for him exterminating 1.8 billion Muslims in the world. Unlike Obama and Rev Wright, McCain has never repudiated these views”

This is quite a stretch. I “like war” because I have concerns over the cozy and comfortable lifelong attachments to extremist views of Sen. Obama?

Hardly. Is it your suggestion that Sen. McCain wishes to exterminate 1.8 billion Muslims? That particular notion belongs in the class of theories that America invented the AIDS virus to kill people of color.

It’s so “out there”, not even the most strident leftists would be caught dead supporting it.

Let’s try to stay on point. Sen. Obama has a lifelong, deep and personal attachment to very extreme worldviews. That’s a concern. It remains a concern, no matter who else is in the race…it is a worthy line of inquiry and deserves to be vetted fully.
