Finally, somebody (vivo, David S.) has the courage to recognize and praise President Carter’s honesty, integrity, and his bold declaration of the truth. How can anyone of with any intellectual ability or honesty find fault with the former President’s logic? Moreover, indy does us all a service by calling us from our wanderings and back to the truth of the matter. Bravo all around! President Carter’s humility and objectivity must surely be taken as fact: who else could be should a potent, articulate, and respected source?
Of course, then, the light with which the esteemed President has illuminated the Truth must cast its glaring brightness upon both sides of the argument with equal brilliance and exposure.
To accept the assertion that ‘opposition must be based on race-preference’, one must also accept the corollary: that support must also be based on race-preference’. Put another way; since the one and only explanation of “…the intentionally demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man” the one and only explanation of ‘intentionally demonstrated support for President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man”. With one sweeping, inarguable statement, President Carter has exposed the overt, despicable, obscene, and morally corrupt foundation of the entire culture of racism that defines America.
He lays bare the hypocrisy that vivo decries – and does so with “refreshing” ‘honesty”. As David S. so rightfully pints out, attempting to deny that there is a vocal racist element supporting Obama is just sticking one’s head in the sand. As he further states, much of the substantiation of Obama’s positions is overtly racist on the face. I thank God (no offense intended to non-believers) we now have a truthful place from which we can openly debate the issues that indy calls us back to. Once we’ve acknowledged that every American is a racist (and that POOR CITIZEN is a child molester as well), we can have an honest dialog. Perhaps President Obama will be a post-racial uniter afterall!
Oh, BTW Ding, while I still have the liberties and privacy of the day, I would rather not post my e-dress on a public bulletin board. You never know what kind of trolls there are, or who might forward it to Mr. Flag@Whitehouse.gov (I guess that’s newspeak for the Agreement Czar). If you would really like to forward your American racists e-mails, kindly post your e-dress. I’ll send you a message from which you can add my e-dress to your contacts.
Hope this wasn’t too long!
