First fraud. Then farce. Next tragedy?? Race baiting, once the provenance of the radical left and the professional hustlers (Jackson, Sharpton, etc) has now moved into the Democrat mainstream. Very divisive, and potentialy very dangerous. It risks undoing fifty years of progress.
The President has not helped. In fact he has been shrewdly capitalizing on the controversy. His latest utterance, that racism is not the ‘overiding’ factor motivating those opposed to his policies is disingenuous and clever to a fault. Our first post-racial President should have the guts to stand up and declare that it is un-American, and absolutely unfair to tar those who voice objections to his policies as racists. But, of course, he won’t. He’s too much the Chicago politician.
