Obama’s church, Trinity Church in Chicago, supports the radical Palestinian cause against the state of Israel. So of course Hamas would assume that Obama feels the same way, particularly when he has expressed the same thought directly to Palestinian community leaders in Chicago–who have strong links to Palestinian political and militia forces.
Obama is not a cipher. He wrote his books and put his vacuousness out there for everyone.
