No way. Carter was (and is) a clown, but he was nowhere near as bad as FDR, the worst president in United States’ history.
Also worse than Carter: Woodrow Wilson, Harry Truman, Jack Kennedy, and Lyndon Johnson.
Carter bears the distinction of being the first Democrat president of the 20th century who DIDN’T get the United States into some senseless war in Europe or Asia, and DIDN’T get tens of thousands of American kids killed fighting said senseless wars (giving serial morons JFK/LBJ equal credit for the Vietnam debacle).
For these reasons, and others, Carter stacks up pretty well against other Democrat presidents.
Of course, compared to ANY Republican president of the last 100 years Carter was a total disaster, but he doesn’t look too bad compared to the other Democrat clowns.
Bush II was a good president foreign policywise, but not very good domestically (way too liberal), but since the alternative was Gore or Kerry…there was no alternative.
