I agree. It is not essential for Sarah Palin to hold an elective office in order to perfom public services, as she now does, as a private citizen, only a distinguished one. If there comes a time for her to run for president, she will, and she may well win, depending on the circumstances, because history gives many examples of exceptional circumstances bringing exceptional individuals to the fore.

In the meantime, she can help us by publishing pointed remarks on Facebook, or on the Wall Street Journal, and probably other channels, and reach a wide audience and have a deep impact.

Oh, I almost forgot, I just found out yesterday that I was a racist. I would never have known if Jimmy did not explain it so convincingly.
