59. You don’t understand legal theory very well, do you? An offense against an individual is a civil matter. A crime is an offense against the entire society. That’s why the prosecutor sues in the case of a crime. Crimes aren’t against victims, they’re against society. That’s why a victim can sue in civil court independently of a criminal action without double jeopardy.
We need some new trolls. These ones all wore out.
