Hillary has not broken any glass ceilings. She is a very special case. She is a former first lady whose ex-president husband still wants to participate in politics at the highest levels, and who ran for and won a Senate seat from a state she had never lived in, by dint of her husband’s influence.
When a female governor who has risen through the ranks and won her election on her own merits runs for and wins the nomination of her party, then we will see some glass ceilings fall. And she will probably be a Republican, anyway.
