I don’t think that Obama’s race per se is what really turns people off. What scares people away the most is the cult-like following of his blind supporters, the fear of having a president whom you can’t criticize without being called a racist, a bigot, etc; the fervor with which most of the MSM treats him. There are, of course, those shady details of his not-so-distant past, his shaky and questionable associations, his wife…Furthermore, there is the fact that most of his followers are hearing a different message from each other. They hear the general insperarional preaching theme of “change”, and basically stop listening. They then recreate this vague message in their minds into whatever they want it to mean: revolution, destruction of capitalism, revenge, violent struggle, rock and roll, emptiness. Show me two of his most blind and loyal supporters who can actually delineate Obama’s specific plans on specific issues. You won’t find them, and that is extremely dangerous. And perhaps what is scariest is the fact that people believe that it cannot happen here. I really hope they are right on that one.
