Another factor in the election will be the Latino vote – they don’t seem to breaking for Barack. Quite the contrary. So a swing state like NM could fall for McCain. And isn’t it conceivable that with Latino support and his rather moderate conservatism McCain might actually compete in CA? Obama’s supporters are giddy right now – and that is understandable. The likely destruction of Hillary is something to be giddy about, especially by an amateur. But that excitement – which is almost certainly influencing the vast majority of likely voters to ponder voting for Obama – will wear thin, especially when people take a closer look at Obama. There are many legit questions about the man. But what is most dangerous to his chances, I think, is the fact that his supporters are so angry and self-righteous. That is not a very attractive political trait.
