You know who told me to hate Communists and anyone avowing allegiance to that ideology? History and the hundred million dead at the hands of “progressives” around the world. You do know that the definitive document on Communist crimes against humanity was written by a French Communist, right? Screw Van Jones and screw you. I was once a self-identified Communist, too, when I was 18 and truly ignorant.
And what are these mysterious and esoteric “issues” that only the enlightened understand? Scientific socialism? Dialectical materialism? Historicism? The vanguard of the proletariat and the dictatorship of the party? Environmental justice? What? They are all rubbish. The detritus of the ramblings of homicidal maniacs who brought hell on Earth for hundreds of millions of people and would do so again, if given the chance (see Zimbabwe, Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela for current examples of your glorious “issues”).
Dostoyevsky had their number before they even came on the scene in anything like their future numbers. Just read “The Grand Inquisitor” section of “The Brothers Karamazov” or the entirety of “The Devils” to see just what sort of people they (and you) are. Or am I to believe that you have some sort of insight into human psychology as it plays out politically on the Left that Dostoyevsky lacked? Hah! Fat f-ing chance of that.
