This event is not about the speech itself, just as a hard-core porn movie is not “about” whatever plot it’s hung on. Of course the speech will be some harmless palaver that kids are accustomed to tuning out. The well-publicized Obama-centric activities, pledges, letters, goals, etc. based on the speech are what it’s about. The hapless DOE published a lesson plan on “helping Obama.” That they changed it to “helping the country” only shows that they realize their propagandizing was a little too obvious — but the leftists who dominate our public education system will still come through like troopers.
