There is one part about Kennedy’s side of this story that I just realized doesn’t make any sense. Kennedy said he returned to the car but couldn’t get in to rescue Mary Jo.
Yet Kennedy is now on the outside of the car. Obviously there was an opening large enough for Kennedy to get out of. Why this talk about need for divers and scuba tanks? This car was in 7 feet of water with the back end sticking out of the water with an opening large enough for Kennedy to egress.
Why couldn’t Kennedy reach in pull Mary Jo through the same opening he used and then stand up and surface?
