History of Israel/Jews and Arab/Muslims should be much more fully exposed, especially Turkish census numbers, and the fact that “Palestinians” never controlled any of the land. What the Arabs are asking for needs to be clearly seen:
Two boys are splitting a cake. One says he wants half, the other says he wants it all. They negiotiate: the second says, let’s start with agreement. We both agree I should get this half, so I’ll take it. Now, we disagree on who should have the other half…
Israel probably needs to take MORE territory, and occupy it heavily, and impose human rights protections on women and children and those Arabs willing to criticize Arabs as well as Israelis … with the idea of having territory it can ‘give back’ in order to get peace.
Arabs can’t live in peace with Jews until after they “have won” something. So Israel needs to take more, to have something that Arabs can win back.
The model democracy that Israel should aspire to is Switzerland, with German, French, and even Italian & Romansch languages; with Catholics & Protestants, with a President (nobody knows) because there is so little power at the top. Cantons handle most gov’t functions.
Most Swiss also learn English. Israel should forcing those in the occupied territories to learn English.
