Well, it could have been worse. They could have been decadent, dysfunctional children of NYC writers trying to make it in acting or advertising who stumble upon a plot by right-wing Christian fascists allied with the CIA and reactionary military brass to kill the Kennedyesque liberal, and very popular black U.S Presidential candidate and then take over the U.S., but enlisting the help of a leftist journalist and leftist professor of psychology at Cornell, they heroically expose the vile plot and save America so it can be the socialist paradise its founders created it to be.
