Shorter Sarah Palin: Leave my family alone. Except when I use them for political gain.
Also, whenever someone has to explain what a politician said–as in this case, where apparently Sarah Palin is so rapier smart that most people can’t understand her rapier observations–that’s a politician not doing their job. And when a journalist is explaining what the words of a politician meant, without ever examining the actual words, that’s a journalist who has no idea how to do their job.
