Israel may be guilty of executing or allowing certain atrocities during its short history (and should live up to this reality). But keep in mind this is a people who have faced mass extermination time and again, at the hands of the Russians, the Germans, and many others, who, upon returning to the Middle East, were met with the same rhetoric of death and anhiliation they had just left behind in Europe.

The point is not moot. You excuse Israel’s every action by pointing to the holocaust. But the majority of Israeli Jews have no ethnic connection to the holocaust whatsoever; they are not European.
