RE #1: Buddy Saleeby – PJM, thanks for your open door policies. I had a pretty bad day today and when I came home & opened this screen – Wow! such an exciting new world! Love it, I am happy now, having some beer and studying Buddy’s pronouncements. PJM congrats – and now to Buddy: Buddy, I hope your efforts haven’t exhausted your intellect; if so relax a bit and come back, we we need you!
RE #2: Peter Gee & the Mubarack (Hussein) thing: Peter Gee, you are perfectly right and I know that you more than wonder about the “classical” media’s selective blinders in this case. Kenya, as all North/East African territories (I write “territories” because no African country is actually a country, i.e a polity where ethnic groups are welded together by ethos, tradition, culture, common interests or common enemies), has considerable cultural Muslim strains throughout its tissue – remember the scandal with Hussein’s photo in Kenya trying on a local garb? (Also nice to remember here the liberal media frantically describing that dress as African not Arabic – nope, that outfit is an Arabic/Muslim outfit, you can see it in Yemen but you can’t see it in Congo. And no matter how inclusive we are, ARABS ARE NOT AFRICANS).
RE #3: Evan Sayet’s piece: excellent, yet I’d say still a bit too friendly – Obama is a cynical operator whose ascenssion has been facilitated by accident (i.e. times, duble presidency, no incumbency, wars & international situations which, unfortunately, require more than a generation’s patience to solve, home economical problems (in very little extent caused by the Iraq/Afghanistan Wars, etc, etc.) Just the inventory of these situations require lots of space – as far as rapid solutions for these matters, we fortunately have mister Obama! Gosh – I forgot! And mister Saleeby who surely can advice Obama on many intricate international problems.
