Good article. Thanks for keeping me informed. I can’t even remember what I saw in Obama. When he first came out I was optimistic about the guy because of the way he spoke and I wanted to believe we were about to have something to celebrate in the form of our first black president. I couldn’t believe anyone who spoke as he did, who radiated honesty like he did, could be anything but sincere. Then I found out about his past, his choices, what sort of people he personally identified with in his personal life and my hopes are now pretty much crushed.
I think that is why Dems are so obsessed with this guy. They have been going through a hideous episode of Bush Derangement Syndrome for the past 7 years or so and they are desperate for something to believe in. They will believe anything Obama has to say, especially because his true character behind the mask is a fair reflection of their own.
