On further examination, I note that neither the TPM piece nor Kimble’s frothing post identify the careless CCW holder in AZ as someone who actually confronted Giffords. Kimble and ilk simply jump to the hysterical conclusion that this person – identified only as a “visitor” in Kimble’s cite – was there to confront her about the health care plan and do violence with a firearm. As if.
In the other case, I don’t find any credible source that backs up the claim about firearms at the Cohen town hall in TN – just a frothing claim at a blog (LeftWingCracker) and a lot of subsequent leftist hand-wringing, hyperbole and telephone-style exaggeration.
Outside of carelessly dropping a firearm, there’s typically no way for anyone to know who’s carrying a concealed weapon. That’s kinda the whole idea. So how does LeftWingCracker know anyone was carrying? It is a puzzlement.
Anyway, this gives one a pretty clear picture of where the left’s heads are at on all this. That is – they are running scared and shrieking mindless accusations – all because people are finally standing up to their bullying tactics. Just as all bullies eventually do.
