Dude, even McCain is running as a “change” candidate, because that’s what the people want. That’s why rightwingers want to talk about what somebody’s preacher said or who sat on a board with who or who doesn’t wear a flag lapel pin–because that’s the only way you can express your patriotism, by postage stamped sized symbolism.
I’ll concede, the distractions might work, but I think the rightwing noise machine has blown its wad a tad early. Just wait till the people are reminded of McCain campaigning for Bush. It should be fun, at least we can agree on that.
