I take a backseat to no one in my respect for cops — they do a dirty job. But do I want them uparmed with high penetration rifles? Lord no.

Interesting opinion. Fatally flawed, but interesting. As the civil libertarians gather strength in major markets, which are often ghettoized, the police will continued to be de-balled and the criminal class will grow in conviction. You better believe the Bad Guys will be arming up, ordinances and statutes be damned. To argue that since there are not many high powered rifle attacks against the police, therefore they should not be able to have access to such weapons is flawed. Just how many coppers DO need to be slaughtered before the citizenry graciously grants permission? I for one will not be the first to that killing field. I still have loved ones. I was a civilian once. Why does it seem that law-abidding citizens view law abidding officers as the enemy? Don’t they know that we are on the same damn side?? Does the average citizen really side with the criminal class?? Lord, I hope not or all of this is in vein.
